Melia Cuba is a prominent branch of Melia Hotels International, featuring a diverse range of properties across Cuba. Known for their luxurious accommodations and exceptional guest services, Melia Cuba has established a strong presence in the hospitality industry.

The challenge

Before implementing BEONx, Melia Cuba faced significant challenges in their revenue management processes. Manual data processing, the need to optimize data collection times, detecting variations in demand, updating tariff structures, and unlocking new insights into revenue management were major hurdles. Additionally, there was a pressing need to reverse the downward trend of monthly ADR pick-up, which was crucial for maintaining profitability and competitive edge.

The solution

After analyzing and participating in the implementation of several RMS solutions like Ideas, IDISO, and Duetto, MeliaCuba.com sought a more cost-effective and adaptable solution. BEONx stood out as the ideal choice due to its profitability and minimal structural changes required within the hotel’s business and information systems. Initially, BEONx was implemented in four of their 32 properties for a period of 1-2 years.

The functionalities that proved most valuable included Recommendations, Reporting, Segmentation, and Distribution Cost management. BEONx’s Revenue Management training, quick response to incidents, personalized service, and smooth implementation process were highly appreciated by the hotels."

The results

The implementation of BEONx RMS led to several positive outcomes for Melia Cuba:

The average daily rate (ADR) and occupancy rates increased between 5% - 10%.

Optimal Pricing Strategies

BEONx enabled the hotel to establish optimal pricing strategies aligned with demand and competition, significantly improving revenue.
